McGregor to Star in Guys and Dolls
- West End outing next year for Star Wars star

EWAN McGREGOR is to take the lead role in a new West End version of Guys and Dolls.

Rumours of McGregor's involvement in the Donmar Warehouse production have been doing the rounds in theatre circles for weeks, but the Scottish star has now put pen to paper on a six month deal starting next spring.

McGregor will play Sky Masterston, the fast talking petty crook whose fate becomes entangled with that of a pretty missionary - a role made famous by Marlon Brando in the movie version.

McGregor can be expected to replace Brando's laid back charm with the kind of live wire performance that won plaudits for his dancing and singing in Moulin Rouge.

As yet, a venue for the show has not been finalised.
