- Dickens museum dishes up Victorian fayre
Christmas as we know it pretty much started in Victorian London, a piece of social history taken up by the Charles Dickens Museum in Bloomsbury over the next few days.
Guides dressed in Victorian garb, offerering mince pies and mulled wine are on hand on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day for those who fancy experiencing a little of what it was like at this time of year a century and more ago. As well as enjoying a brief time of history, visitors will also be able to hear some of Dickens' Christmas stories being read out and watch screenings of A Christmas Carol.
Opening hours for the Charles Dickens Museum on all three festive days are 11am and 6pm.
