Mother Of A Show
- Comedy hit takes to the West End

MUM'S THE WORD opens tonight at the Albery theatre. The comedy about parenting comes to town fresh from Canada, Australia, Scotland and America.

Following in the footsteps of the West End hit the Vagina Monologues, the show features an all female cast of stars. The likes of Patsy Palmer, Imogen Stubbs and Jenny Eclair pool their resources to dramatise the experiences of motherhood. Palmer builds on her reputation as Bianca in the TV soap Eastenders, Stubbs adds this West End credit to a string of performances with the National Theatre and the RSC, and Eclair is the only female winner of the Perrier Award for comedy.

The show was written by six professional actresses in response to the experience of motherhood. Having turned the group therapy of collaborating on a play into a stage success, the creators of Mum's The Word now face a different challenge in the form of strong West End competition. Promising to woo away potential audiences, Suggs the singer takes time out from fronting his Madness band to star in the musical Our House until March 22.
