EastEnder Goes West
- Mum's the word for Patsy Palmer

PATSY PALMER headlines the cast of Mum's the Word at the West End's Albery Theatre from March 18. The former TV actress builds on her reputation as Bianca in EastEnders, the series she left in 1999 after receiving a Best Actress in British Soap award.

Palmer most recently took to the stage in Anthony Nielson's alternative panto The Night Before Christmas at Riverside Studios. But Mum's the Word's combination of speeches delivered by mothers on the subject of motherhood has more in common with Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues.

In fact co-star Jenny Eclair recently appeared in Eve Ensler's long running hit. Like the Vagina Monologues, Mum's the Word promises a high cast turnover as different actresses take to the stage to talk about the womanhood the share. The show has already toured the UK featuring a collection of soap stars, including Liz McDonald from Coronation Street, Julia Watson from Casualty and Tina Malone from Brookside.
