Blur Come Back to Live
- Astoria the venue for first gigs in three years

BLUR, the band famous for singles such as Park Life and The Universal, are to play live for the first time for three years at London's Astoria in May.

The band, one of Britain's most commercially and critically successful of the last decade, are believed to have chosen the Astoria on Charing Cross Road for its intimate size. Blur last played a live gig at the Royal Albert Hall in 2000.

Since then, influential guitarist Graham Coxon has left the band to work on his own projects. He has been replaced in the line-up by former Verve man Simon Tong.

There are to be four shows - May 8, 9, 10 and 12 - timed to coincide with the release of Blur's at the end of April. Tickets for all four gigs go on sale this Friday, 28 February.
