New Work For Nunn
- Trevor goes freelance

TREVOR NUNN relaunches himself as a freelance director after leaving his post as artistic director of the National Theatre. His first production will be Ibsen's The Lady From The Sea at the Almeida Theatre from May 15 to June 28.

The lead role was to be played by Nicole Kidman when the production was planned for the National Theatre two years ago. Now Ibsen's classic stars Natasha Richardson and celebrates the new refurbishment of the Almeida theatre, the inauguration of Michael Attenborough as the venue's artistic director and a new phase in Nunn's career.

Richardson's role as the unhappy wife haunted by a love from her past also marks her return to the London stage after a ten year break. The daughter of Vanessa Redgrave and sister of Joely Richardson builds on her theatre credits in High Society and The Seagull, and on her film roles in The Handmaid's Tale and the forthcoming Maid in Manhattan.
