| Tower Bridge to Host Weddings - Newly weds can hold reception on famous walkway TOWER BRIDGE is to become a wedding venue after the management of the famous London landmark received permission to conduct marriage ceremonies. "Getting a wedding licence is one way in which we can increase our revenue," said a spokesperson for London Bridge, clearly taken with the romance of the moment. For upwards of UKP3,200 couples will be able to hold their receptions on the walkway between the bridge's two towers after exchanging vows and tying the legal knot in the Bridge Master's Dining Room. On a clear day Bridge newly weds will be able to wave to London Eye newly weds down the river, should they choose to do so. |
