Cowell to Wax Lyrical at Tussauds
- Pop Idol model will 'judge' visitors

POP IDOL judge Simon Cowell is the latest entrant to Madame Tussaud's, the world famous London waxwork museum and promises to be a pointer of things to come at the Baker Street venue.

Cowell's wax-likeness, unveiled today, will be much more interactive than the vast majority of the other exhibits as it is fitted with a device that can judge, Pop Idol style, a person's singing voice. If a visitor sings out of tune, the Cowell model will utter one of the catty putdowns that have brought him such fame.

"By using interactive wax works, we are trying to get away from the stuffy old museum image," a spokesperson for Madame Tussauds said. "Simon Cowell has become so notorious, we decided to create an interactive figure of him."
