Open Air Theatre Back Again
- Regents Park celebrates the sun

REGENTS PARK Open Air Theatre has announced its forthcoming outdoor season of plays. First up from June 2 is Midsummer Night's Dream, the Bard's exuberant comedy about lovers and mechanicals in an enchanted forest. This Shakespearean favourite invites theatregoers into the outdoor world of the play.

Another Shakespearean comedy, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, plays in rep from June 4. The rarely performed drama tells the tale of two young friends who travel to Milan and promptly fall for the same girl. Other highlights of the season include Cole Porter's High Society, and a new kids' play called Granny and the Gorilla.

This mix of classical and contemporary work under Ian Talbot's direction promises to make Regents Park a hot spot for Summer theatregoers. Now in its 71st year The Open Air theatre's New Shakespeare Company continues to surpass Shakespeare's own 52 year lifespan.
