West End Diva Does It Again
- Elaine Stritch back in town

ELAINE STRITCH returns to the West End after 12 years away. Her one woman show opens tonight at the Old Vic theatre and runs for just 40 performances until November 23.

The 76 year-old stages anecdotes and songs from her 50 years in the limelight. The one-time star of the sitcom Two's Company pays homage to the showbiz gurus who helped her along her way. True to its name, Elaine Stritch at Liberty celebrates Stritch's freedom to forge her own performance from personal encounters on and off stage.

Yet credit also goes to deviser John Lahr and director George Wolfe in bringing the Tony Award winning show to life. Charting Stritch's career from her 1944 stage debut in The Little Foxes to her most recent West End outing in Love Letters, the performance features an array of show-stoppers and looks set to show this Broadway Baby still has what it takes.
