100 New Acts in London Spotlight
- Marquee to host new Underground Sound festival

TALENT contests are all over the TV at the moment, but all the acts featured seem to come from the same bland mould.

Give thanks then for a new initiative by the National Music Network (NMN), which has set up a massive music festival-cum-talent contest for 100 bands at The Marquee, all under the title of Underground Sound. The winner of the festival will bag free studio time with a top producer. The NMN is itself a new body, made up of leading promoters and other sections of the music industry including the Musicians' Union.

Underground Sound takes place on November 25 at The Marquee. Tickets are priced at only UKP2. For more information, see www.nationalmusicnetwork.com
