|Lucas in Birthday Bash Premiere
- Latest Star Wars epic hits Leicester Square
THE FORCE was with Leicester Square last night for the premiere of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.
Leading actors from the fifth instalment of the epic space movie series including Hayden Christensen (who plays Anakin Skywalker) and Samuel L Jackson, as well as the film's director George Lucas.
It was a double celebration for Lucas and thousands of fans rallied round with a chorus or two of Happy Birthday. Lucas said the present he wanted most was for "everybody to like the movie."
Most critics have given Attack of the Clones far more favourable reviews than its immediate predecessor, the Phantom Menace, which was felt to have a leaden plot. Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones opens all over the world tomorrow, May 16.
