- Rowling could delay publication of next book until next year but video out this weekend HARRY POTTER may keep his invisibility cloak on until next year, despite previous assumptions the boy-wizard would be making his fifth appearance this year. JK Rowling, author of the hugely successful series of books based on the Potter character, is said by friends to be "happily writing" the next instalment, to be called Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, but it may not now be in the shops until 2003. "It could be next year," the friend said of any likely publication date. That will come as a disappointment to many who had already been deprived of their annual Potter fix last year as Rowling worked on the film version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Meanwhile, the video and DVD versions of the Philosopher's Stone are released midnight on Friday and pre-order figures suggest sales records will be broken. |
