William in 'Coming of Age' Movie
- Prince bio-pic set for US TV screens

THE AMERICAN TV network ABC is to make a film about the life of Prince William, concentrating on the young royal's teenage years.

The Royal Family have been fierce in the defence of the private life of Prince William, who is now at St Andrews University and Buckingham Palace aides have admitted to being "disappointed" about the planned movie.

But the film's makers hope to allay such fears by generalising the Prince's experiences. "We are going to do a true coming-of-age of a kid who is going through, in some ways, all of the things that every kid goes through of dealing with adolescence, coming of sexuality and dealing with your dad.," said David Madden, an executive at Fox TV Pictures.

The movie is likely to be shown in October on US TV.
