RSC Comes Full Circle
- Adrian Noble back at the Roundhouse

THREE SHAKESPEARE plays are to be staged at the Roundhouse thanks to the Royal Shakespeare Company. The Winter's Tale previews March 28, followed by the Tempest from April 19 and Pericles from June 28.

RSC director Adrian Noble shows his commitment to the new season by directing Pericles. The shift of venue away from the company's high profile Barbican home shows Noble's determination to carve out fresh performance spaces and attract a new audience.

The shows themselves continue to feature top-notch actors. Matthew Warchus's version of The Winter's Tale stars Douglas Hodge while Michael Boyd's The Tempest stars Malcolm Storry. With its reputation for performance art, physical theatre and launching the careers of young directors, the return to the Roundhouse is a trip down memory lane for the likes of Noble, Warchus and Boyd.
