Airline: 'We've Got Too Many Men On Board'
- British European blame blokes for weight problems

GANGS of desperate cross-dressers may become a fixture at airports following the revelation that one airline found itself with "too many men" on one of its flights.

British European was forced to off-load ski equipment belonging to passengers on a flight from Cardiff to Chambery, France after the aeroplane in question's weight was found to be over safety limits.

But excess baggage wasn't apparently the root cause of the trouble. Instead a spokesperson for BE said: "Too many of the passengers on board were men, who are heavier."

Out of 110 people on the flight, 76 were indeed of the male variety but few would have believed gender to be a qualification for boarding an aeroplane. In dire situations it is traditional for women and children to be allowed first run at the emergency exits, but now men might find themselves at the back of the queue for boarding as well.
