- Veteran rocker joined by cream of UK actors for TV awards

OZZY OSBOURNE'S reality TV series The Osbournes is just one of a welter of British names in this year's Emmy's nominations list.

In that list, the US TV awards panel also included the likes of Albert Finney, for his role as Churchill in The Gathering Storm, a programme made jointly by HBO and the BBC; Sir Michael Gambon for his portrayal of President Lyndon Johnson in Path To War; Vanessa Redgrave and Jim Broadbent (both The Gathering Storm) and Kenneth Branagh (Shackleton).

Including technical award nominations, the British count ads up to 25, the most ever. The show most likely to make the headlines come the 24th September Emmy's ceremony is Six Feet Under which pulled in 23 nominations. Other shows likely to do well include The West Wing and 24.
