London Gets New Forest
- Tree planting scheme kick-started at Pages Wood

LONDON is already one of the greenest of big cities, with more parks per square kilometre than any if its rivals.

In the future London is set to go even greener with the planting of millions of new trees, starting off with a whole new forest at Pages Wood, on the outskirts of east London.

Pages Wood, now ready to be opened to the public, was planted on old farmland that had seen better days and features over 100,000 trees and miles of pathways.
