- Long list of celebs lend publicity to anti-war march
CELEBRITIES have come out in force against an Iraq invasion, ahead of this Saturday's Stop the War march.
Sir Bob Geldof, Sting and Damien Hirst are among dozens of stars who have put their name to a petition arguing the case for peace. Other big names against military action include Sir Elton John, Lord Lloyd Webber, Emma Thompson, Jarvis Cocker, Harry Enfield and Graeme Le Saux.
Some of the celebrities will be on Saturday's march in central London which coincides with similar events around the world. An estimated 30 million people are set to voice their opposition to the plans of US President George Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The London march is expected to be the biggest of the lot, drawing a crowd of over 500,000 to Hyde Park.
