No Strike on Christmas Flights
- Aiports to open as normal as staff agree pay deal

HOLIDAY season flights will not be hit by strikes, after the British Airports Authority and the Transport and General Workers Union agreed a seven per cent settlement for airport staff.

Strikes had been scheduled to close London's Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted airports, plus others in Britain, but the millions of people who fly abroad for a break over Christmas, and the large number that visit the UK, can now plan their holidays as normal.

"There wil be will be no industrial action for the foreseeable future," said TGWU leader Bill Morris.
