Tube Strikes Called for October
- 'Prehistoric' working conditions slammed by unions

TRANSPORT unions have called two one day strikes in October in protest over what they call 'prehistoric' working conditions.

"There are no toilets for women drivers at some stations," said a spokesperson for drivers union Aslef.

The strikes, set for October 12 and October 18, follow on from an overtime ban which begins next Wednesday.

Underground managers say they hope to avoid the strikes by agreeing an improvement plan with staff.
