Les Dennis has a Pop at Chart Success
- Family Fortunes presenter teams up with rock has-beens for single

CHEATED husband Les Dennis may not have been lucky in his love life, but the TV presenter is hoping to land a chart-hit when he embarks on a pop career.

Dennis is to follow in the footsteps of his love-rival Neil Morrissey by releasing a pop single. He will lend his vocals to a track by relatively unknown rock band Frigid Vinegar called Diddlysquat, about telly game shows.

The Family Fortunes presenter teamed up with Frigid Vinegar after the band camped outside London's Carlton Studios, where the presenter was working. Dennis, who plays a fairy-tale character in the video, sings about the lure of cash prizes in game shows.

Morrissey, who had a brief fling with Dennis' wife Amanda Holden, has already scored two no.1 hits, as the voice of Bob The Builder. Bob's album is out on October 1. Whether Dennis will prove to be a bona-fide popster is yet to be seen. Frigid Vinegar, however, have already tasted chart success with their 1999 single Dogmonaut - which reached a rather unimpressive No53.
