Potter Fans Frenzy Over Film Tickets
- UK cinemas faced with overwhelming demand from corporate bookings

CINEMA chains have tried to allay fears that corporate bookings for the Harry Potter movie will stop children from being able to see the film.

There were fears that block bookings from companies, especially in London, would mean families might have to wait months to see the film. But UK chains have promised to show the film on as many screens as possible, with Odeon planning four showings a day and UCI cinemas screening the film every hour.

"At UCI there are over a million seats every week available to see the film," said a company spokesperson. "Children and adults who are looking forward to a day out at the cinema will be able to book tickets and there is still widespread ticket availability."

So far 500,000 tickets have been pre-booked by fans desperate to see the magical adventure, which hits UK screens on November 16.
