Fatboy for Musik Awards
- But Big Brother contestants refused invites to glitzy ceremony

THERE'S no stopping Fatboy Slim - the DJ is raking up awards this year and could add another few to his tally if he wins a hat-trick of gongs at this year's Muzik Dance Awards.

Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, who scooped six awards at the MTV awards last month, is in the running for three gongs at the ceremony, hosted by Pete Tong at the Arches on Thursday October 11.

Cook, whose new single Ya Mama hits the shops next week, has confirmed he will also DJ at the awards. Also included on the line-up are the Cuban Brothers, Erick Morillo and Yousef.

But there's little to celebrate for the former Big Brother contestants, whose flirtation with fame appears to be over. With the exception of show-winner turned TV presenter Brian Dowling, all of the housemates were refused invites because they had nothing to do with the awards. A spokesperson said: "We decided that we wanted more people who are purely related to the music industry to attend."
