Narnia Knock Out Makes A Come Back
- The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe returns to Sadler's Wells

THE LION, The Witch and The Wardrobe opens at Sadler's Wells December 6. The RSC musical was first directed by RSC director Adrian Noble in the company's Barbican base, and the transfer shows Noble's determination to bring shows to other London venues.

Set in the imaginary Narnia where the icy white witch makes Winter last all year, the musical has been a regular Winter favourite since it was first produced three years ago on the anniversary of C.S. Lewis's death. This dramatisation of C.S. Lewis's tale tells of four war-torn children's escape through a wardrobe into the magical land of Narnia.

And true to its moral, the kids' show looks set to transcend the threat of war and recession currenty undermining many West End shows. Like the forthcoming production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Secret Garden (another RSC transfer which enjoyed a successful run at the Aldwych theatre) performances for children look like the only certain hit in these uncertain
