Forget the Election, It's Internecine Royal Warfare
- Charles would make a bad king, says Philip

PRINCE PHILIP has no confidence in the monarchical abilities of his eldest son, Charles, according to a new biography of the Queen's husband.

Royal expert Graham Turner writes that Philip believes Charles to be too "precious", "extravagant" and too prone to flights of "whimsy" ever to make a good king.

It has been known in Royal circles for a long time that Philip and Charles did not get on, but few would have predicted that father would take against son in such brutal fashion.

If nothing else, the bitter Windsor family row throws into relief the boredom-inducing, faked-up arguments that are passing for a general election.
