Fatal Attraction for the Graduate
- Anne Archer takes to the West End

ANNE ARCHER is to star in The Graduate at the Gielgud Theatre from June. Archer is most famous for her role in the 1987 film Fatal Attraction as the rival, to Glenn Close, for Michael Douglas's love.

Archer replaces Amanda Donohoe, herself the successor to Jerry Hall and Kathleen Turner. Although critics deemed Hall more model than actress, all three women claim to have enjoyed performing in Terry Johnson's play.

There is certainly plenty for actors to embrace in Johnson's adaptation of the Charles Webb novel which inspired the award-winning 1967 film. Set in California during the 1960s, The Graduate tells of its namesake's fatal seduction at the hands of his girlfriend's mother. Like her predecessors, Archer looks set to seduce audiences and actors alike.
