Connery Sets Bells Ringing for Cycling Movie
- 007 set to star in Obree bio-pic

SEAN CONNERY is gearing up to star in a film about cyclist Graeme Obree - and rumour has it that the former James Bond star can't wait to get to grips with the project.

Obree built his own bicycle, even going so far as to utilise parts of a washing machine. The former world record holder has reportedly said he will be honoured if Connery took part in the film. Trainspotting star Johnny Lee Miller is in line to take the role of Obree himself.

"Talks are ongoing and we're hopeful that Sir Sean will agree to take the part. He has been a big fan of cycling and particularly Graeme Obree," said producer Peter Broughan

The film, entitled The Flying Scotsman, will start shooting in the autumn. "It's The Full Monty meets Chariots of Fire in lycra," said Broughan.
