- Ex TV presenter given standing ovation on her stage debut

FORMER TV host Denise Van Outer hit all the right notes when she made her stage debut in the musical Chicago last night.

Van Outen, one-time presenter of Channel 4's The Big Breakfast received deafening applause from the West End audience, which included a number of celebrities.

In the musical, Van Outen plays Roxie Hart, a scheming sexpot who shoots her lover and ends up facing the death penalty. Speaking on her stage debut she remarked, "I found it hard acting flirty! They're a great bunch of guys and cool, we have a laugh."
