Feels Like I've Got AIDS, Says Fergie
- Outcast Royal compares bad publicity to life-threatening disease

BEING a royal outcast is just like having AIDS. So said the Duchess of York yesterday in a determined bid to rival Big Brother loser Vanessa Feltz in the big-suffering-for-little-reason stakes.

"You know that feeling when half the room doesn't speak to you. There are a lot of people here who have that same stigma," the Duchess, aka Fergie, told an audience of AIDS sufferers at an HIV care centre in west London.

Given that the tabloid scandal mongering based on Fergie declined dramatically following her split with husband Prince Andrew half a decade ago, it is more the case that the the half of the room not talking these days snub the Duchess more out of exasperation with her self absorption than any supposed stigma.
