| Oasis 'Are Not the Beatles', says George Martin
- Fab Four producer makes important pop-history discovery GEORGE MARTIN, famous for producing the Beatles, has struck out at the Gallagher Brothers for modelling themselves on the Fab Four. "They made a big mistake hitching their wagon to The Beatles so much. They are not The Beatles," said Martin. The producer made his thoughts known when he was doing promotional duties for a soon-to-be released George Martin box set, which is out on July 2. He also remarked on how image is suffocating the music industry. "People don't listen with their ears anymore. They listen with their eyes because everything is visual," he said. |
