Bookies Add to Blair's Fears
- Ladbrokes pay out early as talk of landslide heightens

LABOUR leader Tony Blair's efforts to play down talk of another Labour landslide in Thursday's General Election took a knock today when bookmakers decided to pay out on the result already.

"We've taken the plunge and decided to pay out early," said a spokesperson for leading bookies Ladbrokes.

With the opposition Tories now campaigning on the platform of stopping a huge Labour victory rather than on its own discredited policies, the message from the bookies is the last thing Blair will have wanted.

Polls continue to suggest Labour will either hang on to or increase its huge majority after Thursday's main event, but the Labour leadership are scared such information will convince its supporters not to bother to vote, letting William Hague's Tories in by the back door.
