Crowe Heads For Chicago
- Gladiator star touted for movie version of musical

GLADIATOR hunk Russell Crowe is rumoured to be starring in the film version of the West End musical Chicago.

Word has it that Crowe will play the role of Billy Flynn, the lawyer who has to prove accused murderer Velma Kelly's innocence.

Traffic star Catherine Zeta-Jones is to take on the role of Kelly, currently played by former TV presented Denise Van Outen in the West End hit show. Gwyneth Paltrow and Renee Zellweger are names doing the rounds for the other lead role of Roxie Hart.

Crowe and Zeta-Jones are no strangers to singing. Crowe fronts the amusingly-monickered rockers 30 Odd Foot of Grunts, while the latter enjoyed a brief fling in a girl band in the early 90s.
