Life x 3 Times Two
- Art author's latest play transfers to the West End

YASMINA REZA's second hit play transfers to the Old Vic next month following a sell-out run at the National's Lyttelton theatre.

Reza's French comedy Life x 3 reopens with the original stars Matthew Rylance, Imelda Staunton, Harriet Walter and Oliver Cotton. Like her critically acclaimed Art, Life x 3 attacks modernism by exploring the inherently subjective nature of art. When the bearers of bad news arrive a day earlier than hosts Henri and Sonia anticipated, the audience is privy to all three of the ways in which the evenings' events could unfold.

Rylance's prestige as artistic director of the Globe and translator Christopher Hampton's work with international playwright Reza are trademarks of an accomplished production. After the radical Car Man, Reza's transfer secures the Old Vic's reputation as a supporter of exciting new work. She follows in female playwright Caryl Churchill's footsteps in taking on the West End.
