Craig Takes On The Brits
- Chart-topping R&B star up for five awards

THERE seems to be no stopping teen pop idol Craig David. The chart-topping singer/songwriter has been nominated for no less than four gongs at this year's prestigious Brit Awards.

The 19-year-old R&B sensation is up for Best British Male, Best British Dance Act, Best British Newcomer, and Best Album for his multi-platinum selling album, Born To Do It. He could also be in line for Best British Single and Best British Video when those nominations are revealed later this month.

Ever modest, Craig said: "I'm delighted to be nominated for four Brit awards. I'm honoured to be in line for one, let alone four."

Craig became one of last year's greatest success stories when his debut single, Fill Me In, went straight to number one. The hunky star has already several trophies under his belt after he scooped three gongs at the Mobo Awards last October.

Other nominees include boy-band Westlife, troubled girl group All Saints, Irish pop darlings The Corrs and bad-boy, Robbie Williams. U2 will pick up an outstanding contribution to music award.
