- Desert city gambles on a new city-theme hotel DEVELOPERS New World are to build a billion dollar, mock version of London in Las Vegas, it has emerged. Key London tourist sites such as Tower Bridge, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament are set to be included in a new mega-hotel, the kind of development that the desert gambling resort has made its own. Already, Vegas has mock versions of Paris, Rome and Venice but it is believed the London themed hotel will be the biggest of the lot. Guests will stay in a building closely resembling the Houses of Parliament and there will be traditional British food on offer, such as fish 'n' chips, though "food portions will be American size," said a New World source. |
