- Chicken Run team hit by industrial espionage

AARDMAN ANIMATIONS have accused Hollywood spies of targeting their production company. The award-winning makers of the Wallace and Gromit TV programs and the hit film Chicken Run said they planned to tighten security following industrial espionage by animation infiltrators determined to learn their 'claymation' techniques.

The British company's next film features Bob Hoskins and reworks Aesop's fable, The Tortoise and the Hare. A spokesperson described the animation as inspired by the film Rocky, although director Nick Park stressed the uniquely British feel of the film.

The company refuses to comment further on their current project. "We've had people trying to come in and pretend they work here just to get information. It's proper espionage," says Richard Goleszowskoi, the film's producer.
