| Docklands Trains Get TVs
- Short programmes set to entertain commuters TIRED of straining to make out the the headlines on the flipside of the paper being read by the person opposite you in the train carriage? Then try travelling by Docklands Light Railway. The east London rail network is set to introduce TVs on its trains. Programmes will be limited to silent trailers for upcoming films, ads and news briefs, presumably with subtitles, but at least it's a start. Meanwhile, London Underground are still thought to be developing a scheme where the walls of tube tunnels will be plastered with a succession of still images that give the illusion of motion as trains move forward. |
