Risky Business for The National
- Mark Ravenhill premieres on London's South Bank

TREVOR NUNN has agreed to premiere the latest play by the man who penned worldwide hit Shopping and F*cking.

Infamous for plays like Some Explicit Polaroids and Sleeping Around, Mark Ravenhill's Mother Claps Molly House will be directed by Nicholas Hynter at the Lyttelton before touring the UK.

Other controversial writers set to grace the National include Patrick Marber and Joe Penhall.

Nunn's decision counters criticism voiced by Ravenhill and others of the National Theatre's unimaginative programming. "The new year spans a huge range of work," said Nunn.
