Kronk Comes to London
- Legendary boxing trio launch new gym

A PIECE of downtown Detroit turned up in London yesterday in the form of the world famous Kronk Gym.

Kronk boss and boxing legend Emanuel Steward launched a London branch of his organisation in St Pancras with the help of two other ring legends, Thomas Hearns and Marvin Hagler. "I get the same feeling here as I had when I started the Kronk in 1969," Steward said of his new second home.

Steward's plan is to aim for the 2008 Olympic Games, training fledgling London boxers by the Kronk method that is well known for its emphasis on hard sparring as well as stunning results. "My dream is to get a Kronk USA boxer and a Kronk London boxer in an Olympic final," Steward said.
