| Hopkins Swaps Cannibalism For Comedy
- Sir Anthony leaves Lecter behind for laughs in new US comedy flick HANNIBAL LECTER star Sir Anthony Hopkins' next film eschews flesh eating creepiness for brainless fun. The 63-year-old actor will star alongside US comic Chris Rock in the comedy thriller, Black Sheep, directed by Joel Schumacher. Hopkins plays a CIA boss sent on a mission to transform a dumb slacker, played by Rock, into a top agent in order to scupper an international conspiracy. Executive producer Matthew Stillman said: "It's a fish out of water comedy with a difference. This is one film shoot that promises to be a hoot." However, Hopkins hasn't had enough of Hannibal just yet. Attending a screening of the Silence Of The Lambs sequel in New York last week, Hopkins gave the audience a nasty case of the heebie-jeebies. "I crept in and sat at the back and watched everyone jumping. At one point I leaned forward and whispered, `Are you enjoying the film?' in Lecter's voice. The person in front was terrified, " he said. Hannibal opens in London this Friday. |
