| Diana's Kids Held on Pirate Ship
- Shop-happy parents leave offspring in Peter Pan playground LOST boys and girls are being abandoned at the Peter Pan theme playground in Kensington Gardens while their parents sidle away to the shops. "It's seen as such a safe environment, with plenty of staff around, that we have had parents leaving children and going off and doing the shopping," said Theresa Short, Assistant Manager of Kensington Gardens. "It's very unfair both to the child and our staff." Meanwhile, security at the playground has been stepped up after it endured a spate of vandal attacks, blamed on older children and teenagers The playground, which features a pirate ship, was opened last year in commemoration of Princess Diana who lived nearby and who was widely recognised for her love of children. |
