Bean: Rings Will Lord it Over Star Wars
- Brave boasts at premiere bash; Ali lined up for next round

THE STARS were out in Leicester Square last night at the premiere for the eagerly-anticipated Lord of the Rings movie, The Fellowship of the Ring.

Among those braving the cold London night air were some of the film's stars including Liv Tyler, Sean Bean and Elijah Wood, as well as the likes of TV couple Richard and Judy. "If it's any good, I'll read the book," Judy claimed as she walked past the estimated 2,000 strong crowd.

Sean Bean's prediction was almost as brave. "I think it will will bigger than Star Wars," said the rugged actor who plays Boromir in the movie.

Premiere fans get no rest tonight with the unveiling of Michael Mann's Ali, the bio-pic of Mohammed Ali starring Will Smith as the great fighter. Smith himself will be there, as well as Prince Charles and British boxing legends Lennox Lewis (current World Heavyweight Champion) and Henry Copper. Ill-health has caused Ali to cancel his own attendance.
