Lord of the Swear-ing
- US actor picks up profanities from Brit co-stars

LORD of the Rings star Elijah Wood has been expanding his vocabulary thanks to his British-co-stars.

The American star has been spouting all manner of derogatory words since working alongside actors including Ian McKellen, Sean Bean and Christopher Lee.

Wood, who plays the hobbit character Frodo Baggins in the UKP200 million film, is now aware that 'mingers' are ugly folk and 'monged' is used to refer to drunks. 'B*ll***s' and 'knackered' also get Wood's seal of approval.

The actor also expressed his enthusiasm for his favourite four-letter word. "I fell in love with the 'c' word. I used to hate it but when used correctly, it's brilliant. Especially with the accent," he said.

The first in the Lord of The Rings trilogy, The Fellowship of The Ring is slated for a UK release on December 19. Reports from across the pond reckon it's the dogs b*ll***s.
