Bourne Puts New Adventures In Motion
- Choreographer promises 'exciting things to come' in TV and film

MATTHEW BOURNE is building on the success of his Adventures in Motion Pictures dance company with a fresh team called New Adventures dedicated to film and TV as well as the theatre.

"I chose the name New Adventures because it links with the past and also promises exciting things to come," said Bourne. The talented choreographer made his name as the driving force behind modern British ballet with his radical all-male version of Swan Lake, and went on to collaborate with Trevor Nunn on the revival of My Fair Lady currently playing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.

Now New Adventures is developing a stage production for Walt Disney Theatricals based on the animated classic The Little Mermaid. Mean time Channel 4 are set to screen a film version of Bourne's The Car Man. A documentary focussing on his career will also be shown, appropriately entitled Bourne To Dance.
