Craig David Set for Mobo Awards
- R&B star nominated for three gongs

R&B sensation Craig David could well win a hat trick of gongs for the second year running, as the nominations for this year's Music of Black Origin Awards are announced.

David, who scooped three MOBO awards last year for the best single, best R&B act and best UK newcomer, joins So Solid Crew, Destiny's Child, Missy Elliot, Usher and Oxide & Neutrino in being up for three prizes this time around.

A lifetime achievement award will go to Luther Vandross, while R Kelly will be given a prize for his outstanding contribution to the genre. This awards will be held in October at the London Arena, hosted by flame haired R&B singer Kelis and Radio 1 DJ Trevor Nelson.
