Baby Spice Hits Bum Note
- Emma Bunton facing career crisis after album flops

EMMA BUNTON, aka Baby Spice, is reportedly in big career trouble following disappointing sales of her debut album, A Girl Like Me.

Bunton's LP has shifted a meagre 40,000 copies since its release last March - in contrast to fellow bandmate Mel C, whose album Northern Star has notched up 2.5 million sales. But this is peanuts compared to the Spice Girls total sales of 40 million.

Attempting to shrug of the poor sales, a record company spokesperson said: "Sometimes it can take three or four months for an album to start racking up big sales, and there may need to be three or four hit singles before that happens."
