Robert Carlyle Rides to the Midlands
- Bond baddie stars in re-working of Spaghetti Western

ROBERT CARLYLE is to lead a star-studded British cast in a re-working of a spaghetti western.

Carlyle, Rhys Evans, Kathy Burke and Ricky Tomlinson are all set to star in a new British version of a western entitled Once Upon A Time In The Midlands.

The film will be directed by Shane Meadows, whose previous movies Twenty Four Seven and A Room For Romeo Brass attracted much critical acclaim but failed to get the box office cash registers ringing.

Once Upon A Time In The Midlands is set in Uttoxeter and relates the story of a estranged lover who comes back into town in an attempt to win back his ex-girlfriend.
