Sir Elton Goes Gnome
- Disney-backed film project to include garden features

SIR ELTON JOHN looks set to plant the seeds for a new film career - with an animated film about garden gnomes.

The UKP30 million film is to be made through his own film production company, Rocket Pictures, which he co-owns with boyfriend David Furnish. It has already secured backing from Disney, which is hoping to rake in profits following the massive stateside success of Chicken Run.

Pop legend Sir Elton, who slammed the music industry as a "boring grind", expressed his desire to move into film-making following his involvement in the1994 smash hit musical, The Lion King, for which he won an Oscar.
