Queen Buys Pop
- HM's investors buy up shares in Alan McGee's Poptones

THE QUEEN has purchased UKP 50,000 worth of shares in internet based music company Poptones.

The new media company is run by Alan McGee, former boss of Creation Records, whose artists included Oasis and Primal Scream. McGee is known for his anti-establishment views and it is unclear what his reaction will be to the blue blooded investment in his new firm.

Her Majesty's representatives purchase shares across a wide range of companies and industries. It is thought highly unlikely HM will have been made aware of this investment in what is an overtly republican organisation.
